What Are Epidermoid And Pilar Cysts?

A Cyst is a fluid-filled lump underneath the skin surface. They are normally common and harmless. Cysts are sometimes confused with boils or abscesses. Boils and abscesses are painful collections of puss, and may contain an infection. A cyst may go on to become a boil or abscess. Cysts are usually a result of a blocked gland in the skin causing a small rounded lump to develop and grow in size. They are most common on the head, neck, upper chest and back.
